Peru: Fruit exports grew 37% in March

Peruvian fruit exports continued to grow despite the pandemic, and in March 2020, they registered an increase of 37% (253 million dollars) and 20% (1,016 million) in the first quarter of this year, the Ministry reported Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
The good performance of fruit shipments abroad supported the growth of agro-exports in March 2020 (7.8%) and in the accumulated (7.0%). It should be noted that the dispatch of fruit represents 50% of agro-exports and about 10% of the country's total shipments.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Trade, Sayuri Bayona, highlighted the growth, for the seventh consecutive month, of fruit exports and stated that this item will remain dynamic throughout the year.
