Camposol appoints new CEO

José Antonio Gómez Bazán assumed the position of CEO on September 21

Peru's fresh produce multinational Camposol has announced the promotion of José Antonio Gómez Bazán to the position of CEO, a position he assumed on September 21.

Gómez Bazán previously held the position of commercial director of Camposol's International Division.

In recent months, President Samuel Dyer Coriat had been serving as CEO as the board of directors sought to hire a new CEO; Coriat will remain as chairman of the board.

Gómez Bazán has more than 20 years of experience in the international food industry. In the last ten years he has led Camposol's transformation into a brand-name fresh and healthy food multinational.

Previously, he had held various senior management positions at Chiquita Brands International.

Gómez Bazán currently serves as a member of the board of the United Fresh Produce Association, vice president of the Peruvian Avocado Commission and director of the World Avocado Organization.
