Exhibition area at Lima 2026: innovation and networking for the blueberry value chain
Beyond the technical conferences and strategic panels, one of the most dynamic spaces of the XXXIX International Blueberry Seminar is located in the halls of the Lima Convention Center, where the stand area brings together dozens of companies that supply technology, genetics, biotechnology and specialized inputs for the blueberry industry.
During the seminar breaks – coffee break, lunch and social activities – the fairgrounds are transformed into a permanent meeting point between producers, exporters, researchers and technology companies from different producing regions of the world.
In this environment, many of the ideas discussed in the conference rooms find practical application. Attendees can learn about solutions related to plant nutrition, biostimulants, genetics, irrigation systems, post-harvest technology, digital agricultural management platforms, and international logistics.
This wide range of tools reflects the evolution of blueberry cultivation towards a highly technological agro-industry, where innovation and data management have become key elements to sustain competitiveness in increasingly demanding international markets.
Stands that attract interest
Among the most eye-catching exhibits are those of Planasa, Lucas Biotech, and Projar, companies representing different areas of innovation within the crop. In the case of Planasa, one of the most influential companies in the genetic development of blueberries internationally, its presence is particularly attractive to producers interested in learning about the new varieties that are redefining the global market.

For Marcelo Luengo, the company's general manager, the seminar has become a key platform for understanding the evolution of the sector.
“This is an opportunity that brings together the entire industry and allows us to clearly see Peru’s current positioning and the future prospects of the crop,” he noted, highlighting the atmosphere of technical exchange that characterizes the meeting.
Biotechnology on the rise
Another stand that is generating great interest is that of Lucas Biotech, a Spanish company specializing in biotechnologically based fertilizers and biostimulants.

For José Alfonso Robles, a member of the company's commercial area, the seminar represents a privileged opportunity to connect with the most technologically advanced players in the sector.
“It’s a very interesting event, not only because of the people who attend, who already know what to expect, but also because we, as part of the industry, learn a lot. There are always things that will surprise you,” he commented.
Robles explained that participation in the meeting seeks to strengthen the company's position in the Latin American market and to publicize its biotechnological solutions for crops such as blueberries.
“We believe we are in a booming sector, not only in blueberries, but in all agriculture, where biotechnology is growing very strongly,” he added.
Substrates for crop growth
The presence of Projar, a Spanish company specializing in substrates for intensive horticulture, also generates great interest among attendees.

For Rafael Bolinches, managing director of the company, the seminar has become a key point within the industry calendar in Peru.
“For us, this event is absolutely key. It's practically the starting gun for the business here in Peru and it has a great capacity to attract people,” he stated.
The company, with more than four decades of experience and headquarters in Valencia, has been participating in the event for several years, supporting the growth of the crop in the country.
“Throughout the year we visit our clients in the field, but this event allows us to concentrate many meetings with producers into a very short time, all with a clear objective: to understand how the industry is evolving,” he explained.
Projar began its presence in Peru in 2016, anticipating the country's potential in global blueberry production.
Where businesses are born
Beyond the technology showcase, the exhibition area has established itself as one of the main spaces for networking and business development within the seminar. Meetings between producers and suppliers, conversations between exporters and logistics operators, and encounters between researchers and companies interested in bringing new solutions to the agricultural sector take place in the halls of the venue.
Over its nearly forty international events, the Blueberry Seminar has established a format where technical content and the trade show space complement each other seamlessly. While the conferences provide strategic analysis of the sector, the trade show offers insights into the tools transforming blueberry production and trade.
In Lima, once again, it is clear that the future of the industry is not only debated in conference rooms, but also in the corridors where alliances, projects and innovations are born that will drive the next stage of cultivation.
