Almost 30 thousand tons of organic blueberries have been exported, and the 2024-25 campaign is expected to end with almost 40 thousand tons of total organic volume. Also, unlike in previous campaigns, 89% goes to the USA (previously it was almost 100%), and 10% to the European market.
The peak week of the 2024-25 campaign was week 42, when 22,348 tons of fresh blueberries were exported, in contrast to the peak week of the 2023-24 campaign, which was week 43, and the 2022-23 campaign in week 38.

Followed by Europe with 63 thousand tons (25%), China with 35 thousand tons (14%), the United Kingdom with 12 thousand tons (5%); and finally, other destinations (20 countries) that have exported 10 thousand tons and are equivalent to 4%.

It is worth noting that 97% of the total exported volume is exported by sea. The main ports of arrival by destination are: the Port of Philadelphia with a share of 58% of the volume exported to the USA, the Port of Rotterdam (Holland) with a share of 72% of the volume exported to all of Europe (not including the UK), the Port of Shenzhen with a share of 72% of the volume exported to China, the Port of Dover with a share of 44% of the volume exported to the United Kingdom and, finally, the Port of Kaohsiung with a share of 18% of the volume exported to other destinations.

- How are the Certified Variety hectares distributed in the 2024-25 campaign?
Certified hectares are the hectares that have passed the SENASA inspection, which is carried out every year. In 2024, there will be 20,195 certified hectares.
It is observed that 67% of the total certified hectares are clustered in 5 varieties: Ventura from Fallcreek with 26%, Biloxi with 16%, Sekoya Pop from Sekoya with 14%, Rocio from Hortifrut with 8% and finally, Mágica from Ozblu with 5%. This top 5 of varieties is found mostly in the north of the country, in the department of La Libertad.
The next 23% of the hectares are divided between 12 different varieties, the first two being Fallcreek's Atlasblue and Emerald, with 8% between the two.

Continuing with the analysis of varieties per hectare of the current blueberry campaign, we have the top 5 genetic house companies: Fallcreek with 32% representation, followed by open varieties with 19%, Sekoya with 16%, Hortifrut with 9% and Driscolls with 8%. The remaining 16% is divided between Ozblu, Mbo, Inkasberries, Planasa, Florida University and Iq Berries.
In 2016, the main varieties were Biloxi with 58%, followed by Rocio with 18%. It can be seen that these figures changed in 2020, whose main varieties were Biloxi with 38% and Ventura with 34%. For the year 2024, the figure is totally different. Ventura and Biloxi represent 43% of the hectares, the latter decreasing by more than half. A new variety joins the market, Sekoya POP, with a 14% share.
In 2016, other varieties accounted for only 5%, while in 2024, that percentage has increased to 37%.
