Naturipe Farms has launched Berry Buddies, the latest addition to its line of snacks of added value.

Studies highlight the essential role that taste and aroma play for parents when thinking about what their children will find when they open the refrigerator. Red fruits and grapes are among the snacks refrigerated foods preferred by children, and they enjoy them several times a week.

"It's clear that kids love snacks and we love making them," said Steven Ware, vice president of value added at Naturipe Farms.

«Berry Buddies satisfy the market demand for snacks delicious, nutritious, easy to transport and with fresh fruit. “We have invested years of hard work, planning and research and development into Berry Buddies, and we are thrilled to finally share them with customers.”

The line is made up of three variations, and each product comes in a separate compartment within the package:

• Berries & Pancakes: with blueberries, miniature pancakes and maple syrup for dipping;
• Berries, Cookies & Cheese: combination of blueberries, miniature cookies and various types of cheese, and;
• Berries, Pretzels & Cheese: An assortment of blueberries and grapes, crunchy pretzels and cheddar cheese.

Each option has a shelf life of at least 17 days, a portable container and is 160 calories or less per serving, making them ideal for on-the-go consumption during busy mornings, school lunches or after-school snacks. Each variety has earned the official seal of approval from The Produce Moms.
