BerryWorld highlights the benefits of red berries during Nutrition and Hydration Week
BerryWorld reinforced its commitment to positioning red berries as allies of a healthy diet during Nutrition and Hydration Week, highlighting their nutritional contribution and their potential to be integrated as a natural snack in a balanced diet.
With over 30 years of experience and a foundation built on varieties recognized for their flavor, the company seeks to connect the category with healthy and functional food trends, in line with a health and wellness strategy projected for 2026.
The 6 major trends for 2026
Based on recent studies on consumption habits and health concerns, BerryWorld developed the document “The Big 6 for 2026,” which identifies six key areas of consumer interest in well-being: mental health, hydration, gut health, weight loss, and immunity. The proposal links each concern to a type of berry according to its nutritional profile, with the aim of contributing to consumer education and highlighting the role that natural, unprocessed, and nutrient-rich foods can play.
Validation at Fruit Logistica, Berlin
BerryWorld noted that last month it tested the results of its study at Fruit Logistica (Berlin), one of the largest international fresh produce trade fairs, with more than 65.000 professional attendees.
During the event, the company conducted an interactive brand activation, in which visitors shared their main health concerns and learned how red berries could be linked to their wellness goals.
“During our activation in Berlin, we discovered that one of the main concerns for 2026 is immunity. More than 36% of participants selected it as a priority, followed very closely by weight loss,” stated BerryWorld Group.
Sweet, convenient snacks with benefits
Throughout 2026, BerryWorld will seek to place red fruits at the center of the conversation about health and wellness, leveraging their profile as naturally sweet and convenient snacks.
In this context, the company highlighted the nutritional profile of the main berries:
- Strawberries and raspberries: naturally rich in vitamin C, high in folate and with a relevant fiber profile.
- Cranberries: low in calories, rich in fiber and a natural source of vitamin K, associated with the maintenance of bone health.
- Blackberries: rich in fiber, folate and vitamin C, as well as providing vitamin K and vitamin E naturally

According to BerryWorld, these characteristics allow the consumption of red berries to be linked with general well-being benefits, such as supporting the normal functioning of the immune system (vitamin C), promoting healthy digestion (fiber), contributing to the maintenance of normal bones (vitamin K) and protecting cells from oxidative stress (vitamin E).
According to Charlotte Knowles, Marketing and Communications Director of the BerryWorld Group, “the growing interest in health among consumers, along with new snacking trends, represents a significant opportunity for the berry category to take center stage, educating consumers about its benefits and inspiring them with different formats and consumption options.”
Presence at Fruitnet Berry Congress
BerryWorld announced that it will be a sponsor of the Fruitnet Berry Congress, which will take place this week in London starting today, March 19.
