Camposol anticipates significant volumes in the first stage of the 2024/2025 blueberry season

Company plans to match last season's good results

In addition to its established presence in Northern Europe, Camposol is expanding its reach into the Southern and Eastern European markets, where growing blueberry consumption is generating increasing interest from customers.

As the Southern Hemisphere prepares for its main blueberry season, industry forecasts predict higher volumes compared to last season (2023/2024). However, supplies from Peru are expected to experience delays, with a peak in arrivals expected around November. Despite this, Camposol is positioned to be one of the few suppliers to offer significant volumes in the early stages of the 2024/2025 season.

The company is optimistic about the possibility of matching last season's strong results, with expectations of higher global volumes and availability extending into February.

Camposol stands out not only for its ability to deliver early volumes in the 2024/2025 season, but also for its strong commitment to superior quality and sustainability, responding to the growing global demand for responsibly grown fresh produce. As one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of blueberries, Camposol continues to lead the industry with a strong focus on innovation, quality and environmental responsibility.

In addition to its established presence in Northern Europe, Camposol is expanding its reach into the Southern and Eastern European markets, where growing blueberry consumption is generating increasing interest from customers.

This strategic expansion is aligned with the company's long-term objective of diversifying its market presence and strengthening its leadership position in the global fruit sector.

At Camposol, innovation is a continuous priority. Recent efforts have been devoted to both the development of new varieties and improved packaging. The company has carefully selected high-quality blueberries known for their excellent firmness and crunchy texture, ensuring optimal shelf life. Camposol’s proprietary variety development program has now reached its eighth year, and the process of varietal replacement has begun. The company plans to replace almost 50% of all its blueberry fields in the coming years, significantly increasing production capacity to meet growing demand.

Over the next 12 months, with around 200 hectares of new varieties scheduled to be planted, production is expected to begin in 2025.

The majority of Camposol blueberries are packaged at source, which generates excellent results thanks to improved cold chain management and minimised handling. Camposol continues to invest in advanced technologies at all stages of the production process, ensuring that products meet the highest quality and safety standards. To further improve shelf life and quality at retail level, the company offers a wide range of packaging options, including clamshells, top seals, buckets, resealable films and modified atmosphere packaging, among others.

Ricardo Naranjo, Camposol’s interim CEO, added: “We are confident in our ability to deliver on our commitments not only in volume, but also in the superior quality that defines Camposol. Our strategic approach and commitment to innovation allow us to maintain our leadership in the sector. Looking ahead, we are excited about exploring new markets and building long-lasting relationships with customers looking for top-quality blueberries with an emphasis on sustainability and responsible production practices.”
