In the corresponding period from week 24 to 52, our country has already shipped 11.604 containers of the fruit with a net weight of 169.412 tons, according to information from Fresh Cargo Peru shared by Luisa Fernanda Saavedra, commercial manager of CQ Fresh Fruit LLC.

According to this source, the figures reveal a decrease of -32% compared to the previous campaign. In this time frame, 96.5% of shipments were sent by sea (with a drop of -34% compared to the last cycle) and by air by 3.5% (an increase of 217% in this case). In the accumulated FOB, the value of exports is located up to this point at US$ 817.038.588.

Recipient markets, producing regions
The Fresh Cargo Peru report also points out that so far in the current blueberry campaign, the North American market represents the main destination of shipments from our country with purchases for US$ 478.735.744 (which represents a share of 55 %). Europe follows with US$ 212.035.227 (29%), Asia with US$ 116.070.453 (15%), Latin America with US$ 6.847.084 (0.6%) and the Middle East with US$ 3.350.080 (0.4%) .

Regarding origins within Peru, shipments for the current season correspond mainly to La Libertad, with shipments, so far, of 84.806 tons (50% of the total exported nationally). Next are Lambayeque with 31.211 tons (18%), Ica with 21.652 tons (13%), Lima with 14.202 tons (8%), Áncash with 12.423 tons (7%) and Piura with 4.399 tons (3%).

Main exporters and importers

 Thus, Camposol SA appears first with a share of 15% (-33% compared to the last campaign), followed by Hortifrut Perú SAC with 11% (-41%), Complejo Agroindustrial Beta with 8% (33%), Agrovision Perú SAC with 7% (-40%) and Agrícola Cerro Prieto with 6% (-30%).

Meanwhile, among the most important importers, Camposol Fresh was registered with 11% participation (-26%), Hortifrut Import with 8% (-38%), Naturipe Avocado Farms LLC with 5% (+36%), Alpine Fresh Inc with 5% (-31%) and Driscolls with 4% (-24%).
