Furche indicated that through these commercial agreements, the company seeks to position different Chilean products, including avocados and blueberries.
In this way, and as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile, during the meeting the authorities signed the modification to the protocol of export of blueberries from Chile to China, an agreement reached at the beginning of May of this year in Beijing.
Meanwhile, the National Director of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) explained the importance of the measures agreed by both ministries and also emphasized the early implementation of a quarantine radio of 27,2 kilometers before the detection of an outbreak of fruit fly, that will allow to finish the quarantines of the Valparaíso and Metropolitan regions.
The important recognition by the Asian sanitary authority of the Hass avocado as a non-Mediterranean fly host was also highlighted. Another point discussed during the visit is the work that Chile is doing through the SAG to achieve the opening of nectarines market.
The AQSIQ will already deliver the list of quarantine pests for China, and the technical visit of the Asian experts for the month of December was compromised.
Ronald Bown, president of the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (Asoex) was very satisfied with these negotiations, noting that "At present, entry into the Chinese market of table grapes, apples, kiwis, plums, cranberries, cherries and avocados is authorized, the nectarines being in the process of being negotiated, whose main varieties of white pulp are destined for China. and for that reason, the importance of this visit, which will allow to advance in this process".
"The advances achieved in matters related to the exports of avocados, as well as the application of a quarantine radius before the detection in Chile of a focus of the Fruit Fly, are noteworthy, which will allow us to export with less costs and operational demands."Bown said.
"The progress achieved is the result of coordinated work between the public and private sectors, and the work carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, the SAG and our Embassy in Beijing is fundamental."He added.
The Minister of the General Directorate of Quality, Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping, valued the diversity and quality of Chilean products and said that the negotiation between both nations has a promising future, hoping to specify electronic certification for most of the exports to the Asian country within a short time.

Of this amount, Asia received 406.672 tons, of which the China-Hong Kong market obtained 179.803 tons. All of which means that the Chinese market represents almost 8% of total exports of fresh Chilean fruits.
"These types of meetings are of vital importance for our sector, since they give us the opportunity to show, in greater depth, the work on phytosanitary matters of our industry and the work of ASOEX. The visit of the Minister of AQSIQ, ZhiShumping, and his entourage, ratifies the excellent technical and friendship relations that exist between China and our country in phytosanitary matters, which for our sector is relevant, considering the constant growth of the Chinese market for fruit. chilean"Bown said in a statement.
