Crop Report of Chilean Blueberries: Exports are located at 2% over last season at the same week

With the 1.788 tons exported during the 09 week, the accumulated is close to the exported last season with a total of 109.669 tons.

In summary, to date (week 09) total exports of fresh cranberry are located an 2% over last season at the same week, while organic blueberries add 13.371 tons, an 36% over the previous season at the same week.

On the other hand, the climate continues unstable with intermittent rains that affect the harvest areas. This week (10) there are new rain events from the Araucanía to the South which could affect the fresh export.

Harvests

The harvest in the Central-South zone maintains a moderate rhythm, typical of this stage of the season. Ochlockonee remains the main variety in harvest, along with Tifblue and Brigthwell to a lesser extent.

In the South zone, this week the work was interrupted again by rains that affected from the Araucanía to the south in the middle of this week. Late varieties such as Legacy and Elliot are the most representative at the moment. The volumes continue to fall.
