The Moguer cooperative, Cradle of Platero SCA In this campaign it will have an experimental farm in which it plans to work on its own varietal development of blueberry and blackberry crops and R&D&I. The variety of blueberries from Cuna de Platero SCA, Cupla, will also be present on this farm, where “we will continue to pamper and take care of it to offer farmers the best of us,” explained the company's general director, Juan Báñez.

The cooperative has had its own R&D&i department since 2016. Innovation and development “are present in all areas of the company.” During these 7 years the team has carried out numerous R&D&I works in different areas of the cooperative. Now, this team of professionals will also work on this property, which is equipped with an office, assembly hall and multipurpose rooms.

This farm, located in the Agroexperimental Business Center of the Provincial Council of Huelva, will be a key space for the cooperative, destined for research and development of new varieties of red fruits. "We will study sustainable cultivation techniques, we will apply new technologies and solutions to modernize our farms in different areas," underlines Báñez, emphasizing Cuna de Platero's commitment to the forefront in agricultural production. With this initiative, the cooperative reaffirms its position as a leader in the search for innovative and sustainable agricultural practices.
