In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Driscoll's announces the donation of USD $ 1,670,000 in funds for state hospitals and local clinics, food banks, support to local organizations, and programs to assist the development of local economies within their areas of operation. and production. 

The above, in response to the strong commitment that the company has with Mexico - more than 25 years cultivating berries in the country and employing more than 50,000 Mexican workers today - and, as a way of thanking those who work tirelessly to seek the welfare of everyone, from health workers to those who continue to carry out activities to ensure the food supply for every Mexican.

In a open letter To the community, J. Miles Reiter, President and CEO of Driscoll's, outlined the company's commitment to working hand in hand with all actors in society to overcome these challenging times. Likewise, attending to the sense of social responsibility with Mexico and all of us who are part of this country, the company announced the Social Action Plan before COVID-19, which contemplates the distribution of resources through NGOs and different channels, in different phases. and in the following areas: 

  1. Essential medical supplies to combat the crisis in state hospitals and clinics in communities of Jalisco, Michoacán, Puebla and Baja California. 2. Donation of food packages to the communities in which it operates. 3. Support from organizations working for the well-being and development of the local economy of the communities in which it operates. 

Additionally, since mid-March, volunteer collaborators with Driscoll's and its more than 400 independent producers in Mexico, have carried out fruit donation caravans for health personnel from IMSS clinics and hospitals and clinics of the Ministry of Health in the areas where it operates in the states of Puebla, Jalisco, Michoacán and Baja California, as well as donations in kind to support its work. 

On the other hand, and as crisis prevention measures, since February of this year, Driscoll's began the implementation of protocols to care for the health of its workers, with the priority of safeguarding the health and promoting the integrity of all the people involved.
