Peruvian blueberry sweets arrive at Disneyland Shanghai

Fresh fruit company Dole will seek to expand consumption of the national product in the Chinese market

During the third edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), the financial director of Shanghai Disneyland, Lesz Banham, and the general manager of Dole China, Terry Chang, launched their new product "Mickey" based on Peruvian blueberries, reported the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).

The fresh fruit firm chose sweet varieties from our superfoods which will be of great help to give consumers a good impression of the Shanghai Disney Resort & Dole project. The gift box will be a limited edition and will be available for three months. Likewise, some partners in the retail sector have been selected for the sale of the national product.

This launch came within the framework of Shanghai Disneyland's partnership with the Dole company. As an official sponsor, Dole will supply fresh fruit in a "creative and innovative way" to the delight of guests, driving more healthy dining options in parks and resorts.

It is worth mentioning that the blueberry or blue fruit has antioxidant properties and prevents degenerative and cardiovascular diseases. This product is at its peak in China due to its export season and because it complies with the model healthy fruit properties that Dole follows in all its launches.

THE DATA

Peru is the first blueberry exporting country to the Asian giant and still has the capacity to reach second and third level cities in mainland China, which will generate an increase in Peruvian exports, reported the Commercial Office of PROMPERÚ in Shanghai.
