The Lima meeting will be at a high level

There is always great interest from the industry in Blueberries Consulting meetings, due to the high standard of information and knowledge shared at each event, although this time the attendance will be even broader.

The Peruvian blueberry industry will meet this 12 and 13 March en Lima, on the occasion of XXXIV International Seminar on Blueberries Lima, Peru 2025 what will be done in the Lima Convention Center. The event will be attended by leading Peruvian and foreign specialists, businessmen, researchers and producers, who together with other industry players will shape a high-level event as scheduled.

Great interest
There is always great interest from the industry in trade meetings. Blueberries Consulting, due to its high standard of information and knowledge shared at each event, although this time the call will be even broader due to the interest in the sustained success of the Peruvian industry, the new opportunities that the market offers due to the high demand for the fruit and the great productive performance of the new varieties of blueberries.
This year's event will have some new features, such as the presence of a complementary hall, various discussion panels, a business roundtable, training workshops and, as a guest crop, the opportunities for cherry production in Peru will be analyzed.

To establish a general framework for this year's programming, the International Seminar will be inaugurated by Jorge Esquivel Manterola, Director of Blueberries Consulting.

Pro-blueberries
Then, commercial and current aspects will be discussed with the participation of Luis Miguel Vegas, General Manager of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Blueberries of Peru, Proarándanos, giving an update on the blueberry industry in Peru, production, marketing and genetics.
Immediately after the Peruvian industry update is complete, a discussion panel will begin: The blueberry industry, current status, strategies and trends, a topic that will be addressed by businessman Fernando Cilloniz, the president of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Blueberries of Peru, Proarándanos, Miguel Bentín, and the president of the Association of Agricultural Producer Guilds of Peru, AGAP, Gabriel Amaro.

Some topics will be discussed regarding the sustainability of the industry, increases in global demand, changes in the industry in recent years, commercial strategies, the importance of the port of Chancay, the consequences of tariff increases, among other topics of great interest to Peru and the global industry.

Talks
The morning program of the opening day continues with 3 very interesting and interrelated talks: data analysis of the last seasons: Peru's position in the global blueberry market, given by Pablo Cortés, Sales Manager Agronometrics; Quality and condition analysis of the last Peruvian blueberry season and competing countries, given by Ignacio Santibáñez, CEO QIMA Produce and Perspectives of frozen blueberries in Peru: strategies to boost growth and meet global demand, given by Jessica Mesina, Operations Manager for South America and Co-Founder FruAction.
After this series of commercial talks, technical talks of great importance for the industry will begin, which we will discuss in detail in upcoming notes.

The first day closes with an interesting panel discussion, which brings together the prominent researcher Walter Apaza and renowned production and new business managers, such as Juan Valdivia, Luis Rodríguez and Gonzalo Carlazara, from the companies Danper, Hass Perú and Agrovision Perú, respectively, who will address different topics of interest, such as the challenges for the upcoming seasons, production strategies, variety evaluation, phytosanitary control strategies, markets, among others.
This important meeting of the international blueberry industry will begin with a technical tour el March 10. to the fields that Family Farms Peru maintains in the town of Pisco, where the Peruvian company produces MBO varieties on 600 hectares on the dunes of the California desert. Then it will continue the days 12 and 13 at the Lima Convention Center, in two intense days to address the most important issues of interest to Peruvian producers and businessmen and the international industry.
