As far as the season 2023/2024, el Peru has exported 224,030 tons of blueberries, which is 27% below what was exported the previous season, in which for this same period they had already exceeded 300,000 tons exported. In this atypical campaign, despite going lower than the previous one, 41 destinations have been reached. Among the main ones were the United States, with 54% participation; followed by the Netherlands, with 23%; and China, with 13%. Although the markets that top this list remain the same, lower figures are recorded in all of them.
With respect to the North American market, its acquisitions have not yet reached more than 150,000 tons as in the last campaign, adding just 121,707 tons (28% lower). For their part, shipments to the Dutch market have not exceeded the 75,000 tons already exceeded in the 2022/2023 campaign, reaching a total of 52,554 tons (32% lower). Closing the podium, towards the Asian giant, shipments totaled 28,286 tons, 24% less than the previous season. Exported Peru Tons of Blueberries
As for Peruvian exporting companies, these were also once again Camposol SA, with 16% participation (27% less in their shipments); followed by Hortifrut – Perú SAC, with 7% (54% less in their exports); and Agrovision Peru SAC, with 7% (39% less in their remittances). Shipments throughout this 2023/2024 campaign have had a slightly strange behavior in terms of departure ports.
Both shipments by Jorge Chávez Airport (3% of shipments) and the Pisco Port Terminal (0.3% of shipments) experienced an increase of 188% and 57%, respectively; while the main ports, such as Callao (52% of shipments) and Paita (44% of shipments), experienced a drop of 24% and 34%, respectively.
