Academy-company meeting: last places to attend the eighth version of the Annual Postharvest Conference
Santiago, August 2024.- Those in charge of the post-harvest equipment of INIA La Platina, The Universidad de Chile, Bruno Defilippi y Víctor Escalona, are the organizers of the VIII Annual Postharvest Conference, where prominent experts, companies and students will share the knowledge and advances in technologies that have allowed us to face the challenges in climate, logistics and marketing issues for export fruit.
In addition, they will provide the keys to respond to current consumer demand on a global level.
The event, which is sponsored by Fruits from Chile and Fedefruta, and the sponsorship of companies with a strong national and international presence, will take place on August 21 and 22, 2024, in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences of the University of Chile.
The opening talk will be given by the prominent post-harvest specialist, John Paul Zoffoli, professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, who will address the challenges of post-harvest for the Chilean industry.
The Conference is organized into work sessions that will address a series of topics, such as: environment and productive management, physiology of ripening bases, post-harvest process and technologies; which will be directed by experts in the area.
In total, they will be about 40 exhibitors with talks and 16 as a poster in digital format that corresponds to works selected by a committee.
