Chilean fruit exports increase 10% so far in the 2021-2022 season

According to information from the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), so far this current Chilean fruit export season 2021-2022 (September 01, 2021 - August 31, 2022), shipments as of August 22, November reached 25.234.081 boxes, a volume that is 10,89% higher than that sent to the same period last year (2020-2021).

 

According to what it reports Simfruit, exports lead avocados (increase of 16,26%), mandarins (+ 37,47%), apples (+ 4,98%), oranges (64,05%), kiwis (95,29%), blueberries ( -50%), cherries (-53%), lemons (+ 40,8%), and pears (+ 77,87%).

 

In market terms, the US leads the reception with 34% of shipments, followed by Europe with 33%. Latin America is in third place with 21% of the total volume, followed by Asia or the Far East, which to date has received 11%.
