Peruvian blueberry exports reached 9.816 tons so far in the 2023/2024 campaign

Volume represents a drop of -28% compared to the 13.576 tons dispatched in the same period of the previous campaign.

(Agraria.pe) Despite the fact that fresh blueberry shipments continue to increase, they are still below the previous year. Last week, exports of the product totaled 2.160 tons, which was 47% less than the same week last year. With this, so far in the 2023/2024 campaign, shipments have totaled 9.816 tons, 28% less compared to the 13.576 tons dispatched in the same period of the previous campaign (2022/2023).

This week, the Peruvian blueberry reached 21 destinations, of which 3 concentrated 86% of all shipments: the United States (36% share), China (30%) and the Netherlands (20%).

To the North American country, Peruvian remittances totaled 784 tons, which was 56% less than last year. As for the Peruvian exporters that stood out the most in this place, they were Qali Fruits SAC, with a 16% share; and Family Farms Peru SRL, with 10%.

Towards the Asian giant, shipments totaled 646 tons; that is, 61% less than the same week of 2022. In this market, the Peruvian exporting companies that participated the most were Blueberries Peru SAC, with 35%; and Sociedad Agrícola Drokasa SA, with 25%.

Closing the podium, the Dutch managed to acquire a total of 424 tons, which was 23% higher than last year; however, that was not enough to offset the decline in the first two countries. Regarding the Peruvian exporters that stood out the most in this place, Camposol SA stood out, with 22%; and La Hanseática SA, with 21%.
