With a Commercial Technical Tour The two-day pre-season activities began in the fields of Moroccan producers. XXVIII International Blueberry Seminar which took place on September 13 and 14 at the Les Dunes d'Or Centre De Congrès Hotel, in the city of Agadir, Morocco.
The tour was attended by specialists, researchers and international consultants, experts in physiological aspects of blueberries, marketing, pollination and post-harvest, visiting different farms in the south of Agadir, where a technical and commercial conversation was generated about the current state of blueberries in the world.
In recent years, Morocco has gradually positioned itself as a major producer and exporter of blueberries and berries in the international market. It has made progress in its development, showing better results, expanding its cultivation surface, adopting new technologies and modern management systems, and incorporating new varieties of the crop to further increase the quality of its offer, which is characterized by producing very good fruit.
The Moroccan industry is rapidly expanding across different areas of the country, exceeding 4.000 hectares of planted area and steadily increasing in a range between 200ha and 400ha each year with new production projects.
