Hortifrut Perú benefited agricultural workers with more than 166,000 product exchanges through the Champions Club.
The Champions Club program of Hortifrut Peru continues to consolidate its position as a pioneering recognition and loyalty initiative in the agroindustrial sector. Since its creation in 2019, it has enabled more than 40,000 agricultural workers to redeem over 166,000 points accumulated during the blueberry harvest season, which are products that meet the needs of their households.
In six years, thousands of families have benefited from farming, finding their daily bread. In this regard, in the last campaign, 74% of Cosecha workers accessed at least one exchange. Among the most requested products are household appliances, food baskets, construction materials (such as thousands of bricks, bags of cement, and water tanks), and tools for small businesses, such as Visicoolers, sewing machines, and more.
“Workers value choosing products based on their priorities and focus on obtaining them through effort and perseverance. The Champions Club has generated well-being and improved the quality of life of thousands of workers and their families, reinforcing the sense of pride in working at Hortifrut. The program's success is also reflected in a key agricultural indicator: turnover. We've experienced a significant and progressive reduction in harvest staff turnover,” he noted. Martin Merino, manager Hortifrut Peru Human Resources.
Likewise, the use of the Champions Club app is a key tool for facilitating the review of daily point accumulation for harvest work, the list of products available, making redemptions, and, above all, bringing technology closer to agricultural workers. Along these lines, more than 55% of redemptions were made through the mobile app during the last campaign.
It's worth noting that the approach of Hortifrut Peru's loyalty program has been shared in various sustainability forums and industry events, presenting it as a successful management experience with social and human impact in agriculture. Along these lines, through the Champions Club, the company reaffirms its commitment to a responsible agribusiness focused on the benefit and well-being of its workers and their families.
