Researchers will strengthen knowledge in science and technology in 20 countries

The National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec) approved the subsidy of 1 million 170 thousand soles to strengthen the capacities in Scientific Research, Technological Development or Technological Innovation (R & D + i) of 79 professionals, who will have the opportunity to travel to 20 countries, in addition to Peru.
The beneficiaries come from 19 regions of the country, and agreed to a financing that fluctuates between 3 thousand and 27 thousand soles, through the call "Mobilization in Science, Technology and Technological Innovation - Internships", promoted by the Fondecyt, executing unit of the Concytec.
They will be involved in an academic formation or the development of projects in universities or institutions that promote science and technology based on the exchange of knowledge, both between regions of Peru, and other 20 countries, which are: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Denmark, the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Uruguay.
This subsidy covers travel expenses (passage, insurance and maintenance), either in Peru or abroad, for a minimum period of 14 days and a maximum of 90 calendar days, and has as priority research areas: Environmental Sciences and Technologies , life sciences and biotechnology, basic sciences and environmental sciences and technologies, information and communication technologies, materials science and technology.
Research
Of the 79 beneficiaries, 22 are women and 57 men, whose research projects include: "Effect of climate change on the distribution of threatened bird species in Peru", "Response of blueberries to resistance inducers and their effect against attack of pests "and" Generation of electricity through plant-bacteria associations in remediation wetlands and their potential use in high Andean areas ".
In addition, "Improvement of human capital in ICT for productive management, applied to energy efficiency in the cold system of the agroindustrial sector", "Calibration of a new proxy I / CA (iodine / calcium) for reconstructions of changes in the oxygenation of the sea Peruvian climate change product "and" Collaboration in measurement systems and characterization of antennas and metamaterials ".
