The profitability, competitiveness and progress of the blueberry industry will be addressed at the International Seminar on Blueberries Peru 2023

The event, which will take place on March 08 and 09 at the LCC Convention Center, will have the presence of prominent international speakers who will give talks on issues contextualized to the reality of the Peruvian industry.

Even though the leadership of the fresh blueberry export industry remains in the hands of Peru, this sector is growing in competitiveness worldwide, making information on technological and scientific advances and information on the marketing of the fruit increasingly valuable.

This information is what the XXIV International Seminar Blueberries Peru 2023, where during two days, on March 08 and 09, talks will be held on issues of relevance to the Peruvian context at the LCC Convention Center, Lima.

The program, designed to enhance the competitiveness of the local industry, will be presented by international speakers with outstanding experience in their respective fields of expertise within agribusiness.

At the event organized by Blueberries Consulting, different topics will be analyzed in perspective to the results of the last 2022/2023 season, being the first meeting of the union after the end of the productive peak of the Peruvian blueberry.

The year-on-year volume increase produced in Peru is not new, since it has been presenting high growth rates for more than 10 years. However, the sector is dynamic, so both the variables that caused the sustained increase and those that will continue to boost local production will be discussed.

We will review in detail the varietal offer of Peru, discussing the benefits of carrying out a varietal replacement, the challenges and dangers that the producer faces during this process, and we will delve into the profitability and financial sustainability necessary to carry out this operation.

The possible consequences of the current political events in Peru and their relevance for the results of the industry will be evaluated by experienced professionals, who will provide information on the postharvest behavior of the Peruvian blueberry and the technical measures that can be adopted to extend the condition and quality of the fruits.

Finally, the performance of Peru in the international market will be analyzed regarding the commercial and logistic dynamics that are taking place in the main industries. Trends such as concern for the environment and social responsibility in the face of increased consumer demand for sustainable products will be discussed as to their feasibility on Peruvian farms.

To continue delving into the state of the Peruvian blueberry industry and its future, we invite you to attend the XXIV International Seminar Blueberries Peru 2023, next March 08 and 09 at the LCC Convention Center.
