The main meeting of the blueberry industry in South America comes to an end.

Two days of intense programming, in which speakers and specialists addressed each of the topics and aspects important to the development of the blueberry industry, have just concluded in the Peruvian district of San Borja, at the magnificent facilities of the Lima Convention Center.
The hundreds of attendees at the massive blueberry industry gathering were able to participate in a variety of presentations by leading Peruvian and international specialists, who generously shared their knowledge and the results of their latest research on the various facets of the crop, including its different varieties and its performance in the diverse climate and soil conditions in which it is produced in Peru, always seeking the best management alternatives for their specific circumstances.
Versatile reality
The blueberry in Peru is very versatile and is grown throughout virtually the entire coast, both in soil and in substrates and pots, according to the specific conditions of each area and variety.
In the intense days of the XXXIV International Blueberry Seminar, which has established itself as the most important event for the blueberry industry in South America, there was also a great deal of interaction between producers, businesspeople and investors in the spaces designated for Business Roundtables, where transactions and agreements could be made regarding current or future productions or needs, in addition to the abundant commercial information on the crop provided by industry leaders and renowned market analysts and the behavior of supply and demand for blueberries in various destinations around the world.
Productivity and quality
The International Blueberry Seminar in Lima was a well-attended and robust gathering, reflecting the consolidation and continued health of the Peruvian industry on its path of growth and development. It demonstrates to the world not only the crop's versatility in developing under very different soil and climate conditions, but also the continued improvement in fruit quality and innovative field management practices by efficient Peruvian producers.
The industry event moves to Chile next month, then to Guadalajara, Mexico, in May. It returns to Peru in July, to the city of Trujillo, in the heart of the Peruvian blueberry-producing region. It concludes in September in Tangier, Morocco, which has already established itself as a key player in the global blueberry industry.
