Morocco: Exports to the United Kingdom grow 51% and "will become the first supplier instead of Spain"

Morocco leading
In a message recently posted on Twitter, Robert kimbell , a British politician, said that the UK currently captures around 6% of Morocco's total exports. And, in his opinion, the figure could rise in the coming months, thanks mainly to the new Tangier-Poole maritime connection, which will soon be operational.
British imports
According to data published by HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs), UK imports of fresh produce from Morocco increased by 51% in January 2021 at 30.648 tonnes, compared to January 2020 (20.236 tonnes). In the same month of January 2021, Morocco surpassed the Netherlands, which only exported 25.495 tonnes to the United Kingdom.
Main supplier
According to Robert Kimbell's predictions, it is only a matter of time before Morocco overtakes Spain and the Netherlands to become the UK's leading supplier of fresh produce.
