«The 85 percent of the production goes to the United States and the other 15 percent is made up of Europe, Asia and lately it has had an important growth in the Middle East«commented Mario Andrade Cárdenas, president of the Board of Directors of Aneberries.

The leader clarified that the low consumption in the country is attributed more to cultural aspects than investment. «Berries is a very new product in Mexico and that was motivated by the export demand", he pointed.

«As it is a question of demand that is growing, not yet of a forcefulness, we are going to work in Jalisco as the second consumer market in the country, in terms of diffusion«said Padilla Gutiérrez.

Through the Agency for Marketing Services and Market Development (Aserca), we work on a resource that allows us to carry out a multinational campaign in which red fruits are disseminated in the countries to which it is exported, but wherever Including Mexico.

«We have not defined the program for this year, but we are already at the negotiation table with Aserca. We are voluntarily adhering to self-regulation, which has opened the doors for us in this federal agency to manage the consumer promotion campaign«explained the manager.

The production, which has 3.500 producers at the national level and 1.000 in Jalisco, contrary to what one might think, for its cultivation large tracts of land are not necessary.
