Mexico: Michoacán will export tropical fruits and berries to the Netherlands and Sweden

Michoacan companies will export to 37,6 tons of agrifood products this year to Holland and Sweden, thanks to the actions that the State Government, led by Silvano Aureoles Conejo, executes through the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDECO) in the constant search to increase the existing international commercial relations, as well as the opening of new markets, said the head of the aforementioned department, Antonio Soto Sánchez.

"This is the result of the commercial mission we carried out last June in the Netherlands, where through various business tables, we showed businessmen and authorities the commercial offer of what was done in Michoacán, with avocado, berries and the handle, the first exports that will have to carry out three of the eight companies that participated in the work tour ", explained the state official.

He added that in the trip made in coordination with ProMéxico, it was possible to establish commercial relationships with the following European wholesale distribution companies: Levarth, ICA and Bakker Barendrecht, after the Michoacan producers obtained the Social Responsibility Certification and the SIPAS CR , both necessary to enter those countries.

In this tenor, said that it is a commitment of the current state administration, strengthen positioning strategies that allow more producers to export and diversify markets, at the same time that invited state companies to have all the necessary regulation to do so .

"We are with the doors open to support them in everything related to their products, from standards and quality studies, to the creation of brands and logos, as well as marketing routes at all scales; It is necessary to work hand in hand, society and government, so that everyone knows the quality of what we produce in this land ", Secretary Soto Sánchez concluded.
