Hass avocados and blueberries stand out in recent launch of Peruvian superfoods in New York

In the 5ª version of "Peru to the World Expo" - where the guest of honor was the Peruvian President himself Pedro Pablo Kuczynski- the new super foods of this country were launched, enchanting more than 600 visitors with their culinary and cultural traditions, and where Hass avocados and blueberries were joined as products event highlights.

The 18 of September of this year the agrarian and culinary tradition of Peru was before the eyes of more than 600 people who visited the 5ª "Peru to the World Expo" in the city of New York. The event served to capture the recent superfood brand of this country, and where avocado Hass and blueberries played a key role in the meeting.

This launch had as guest of honor Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, and was organized by Peru Agribusiness Association Inc. (PAA). "We are very grateful that President Kuczynski was able to join us in celebrating Peruvian culture and the wide variety of super foods that Peru has to offer the world"said Xavier Equihua, CEO and president of the Peru Avocados Commission (PAC).

The PAC has been based in Washington, DC since 2011 and has been in charge of promoting the consumption of Peruvian avocado, through public relations, commercial and advertising, and is carried out under the supervision of the United States Department of Agriculture. .

The meeting featured the 30 most prominent Peruvian chefs in the United States, who were in charge of offering a wide range of culinary tasting and pisco cocktails, which highlighted the great tradition of this country for its millenary gastronomic culture. . According to the organization of the event, Peru has provided the world with its superfoods for more than 5 years, being the second largest producer of Hass avocado and blueberries in the world.

"This event quickly highlights Peru's rise as the world's number one destination for travel, culture, and gastronomy," Xavier Equihua concluded. The Hass blueberry and avocado are added to other successful Peruvian superfoods such as figs, pomegranates, mandarins, grapes, coffee and cocoa.

The event was also attended by José Antonio Gómez Bazán from Camposol Trading, the outstanding Peruvian Brothers for their culinary talents, and the Peruvian Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Eduardo Ferreyros.
