This was reported by the company's general manager, Lionel Arce Orbegozo, who pointed out that this growth is due to the fact that new plantations are coming into production; In addition, young plants have higher productive yields, and each year they will continue to increase their yield until they reach adulthood and reach their full development.

He added that the company has 1.000 hectares of blueberries installed (all in production), of which 750 hectares are in Lambayeque (Jayanca and Olmos) and 250 hectares in Ica. The company works mainly with the Ventura variety, in addition to Biloxi and other patented ones.

Regarding the destination markets for the company's blueberry, he said that 50% goes to the United States and the other half goes to Europe.

Lionel Arce said that his client has been evaluating the installation of new areas, for the moment investments have been stopped due to the suspension of the Agrarian Promotion Law last December and the political uncertainty that the country is experiencing.
