Peru: Establish quality standards for cranberry and passion fruit
The National Institute of Quality (Inacal) reported today that it established new quality standards for the production of passion fruit, blueberries, sacha inchi and Andean grains.
The agency, attached to the Ministry of Production, approved Peruvian Technical Standards (NTP) on fertilizers, educational organizations, granadilla, cargo containers, information technology and others.
All the standards approved also refer to food safety management systems; legumes; packing; sugar; cooked foods of instant reconstitution; furniture; bakery, pastry and biscuits, biscuits; explosives and blasting accessories; fertilizers; pesticides; signage for universal accessibility in buildings; Andean grains; blueberries; sacha inchi and coffee.
Inacal explained that the Peruvian Technical Standards they are documents that establish specifications for the standardization of products, processes and services and that allow them to be of quality. Its application is voluntary.
These documents are prepared by professionals that make up the Technical Standards Committees (CTN) that are integrated by representatives of the private sector, public entities, and the academy.
These products are grown in different regions of our country, and Peruvian technical norms or quality standards are available for the regions that hosts Peru.
