Peru sets new milestone in blueberry exports with 42% growth

Proarándanos highlighted that 317,997 tons have been shipped, with a significant 51% increase in the organic blueberry segment.

One week before the end of the current blueberry campaign (2024-2025), Peru has reached a new milestone with 317,997 tons exported through week 16, according to the sector association Proarándanos.

"This represents a 42% increase compared to the previous campaign. A step forward that reaffirms the position of Peruvian blueberries worldwide," he adds.

Of the total exported volume, conventional shipments reached 283.533 tons (showing a 42% growth), while organic fruit shipments reached 283.533 tons (51% growth).

In the organic segment, exports were primarily led by Agrícola Cerro Prieto and Agualima. Considering overall shipments, the main exporters were Camposol, Hortifrut, and Agrovision Perú.

By means of transport, 97% of the volume was transported by sea (307.080 tons), followed by air with 3% (9,658 tons) and transport 0% (1,259 tons).
