Peru: Senasa authorizes the entry of 75,000 blueberry plants of Chilean origin
The National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (Senasa) authorized the entry into the country of 75,000 blueberry plants of origin and origin from Chile.
By Directorial Resolution No. 000022-2023-Midagri-Senasa-DSV, which was published in Legal Standards of the newspaper El Peruano, indicates that the income of the blueberry plants It will be through the Santa Rosa Border Complex, located in the department of Tacna.
The standard also indicates that three shipments will be made during December 2023 and under the responsibility of the company Agrícola Santa Azul SRL. For this purpose, shipments must comply with certain measures.
Measures to follow
The blueberry plants must come packaged in the same conditions that were certified by the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) of Chile, without evidence that the seals or other security measures have been violated or adulterated; Otherwise, the entry of the shipment into the country will not be authorized.
The containers must be packaged in such a way as to facilitate phytosanitary inspection at the point of entry into Peru. Likewise, blueberry plants must be transported in clean, refrigerated, closed and sealed vehicles.
After the blueberry plants have been inspected and samples obtained for the phytosanitary verification diagnosis at the point of entry into the country, the refrigerated vehicles must be sealed and transferred to the authorized production site for post-entry quarantine monitoring in the district of Supe (Barranca). Transportation costs will be assumed by the importer.
Upon arrival at the place of production authorized for post-entry quarantine monitoring, the shipments must be inspected by the Senasa inspector in order to give them compliance.
In addition, the imported material will be subject to the procedures established in the Plant Quarantine Regulation, approved by Supreme Decree No. 032-2003-AG, and to the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Control Procedure for the entry of agricultural goods into the country.
