Planasa has announced the appointment of Ronnie Kersten as Business Development Director for Northern Europe, starting in October 2025.

Kersten brings over 20 years of experience and extensive market knowledge, having developed her career in the global berry business, with a strong focus on the blueberry and strawberry industries.

“He has held key roles at Legro, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, De Kemp, and Fresh Forward Breeding, gaining deep knowledge of the fresh produce value chain, from genetics and plant breeding to market development and customer engagement,” Planasa said.

In his new role, Ronnie will be responsible for driving growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and strengthening Planasa's presence in Northern Europe. His strong network, combined with his passion for innovation and sustainable agriculture, aligns perfectly with Planasa's mission to offer premium varieties and added value to producers and the wider industry.
