Proarándanos has reduced its sixth projection for Peruvian fresh blueberry exports for the 2026/27 season to 344 tons. This figure is 6,1% lower than the 366 tons estimated at the beginning of October and 10,3% lower than the 383 tons exported during the previous season, despite Peru having approximately 15% more hectares in production.
Through week 40, Peru had exported 163,5 tons, 4,5% more than the 156,5 tons recorded in the same period of 2025/26. The campaign still maintains an advantage over last year, but that gap narrowed sharply in just two weeks: in week 38 it reached 18,7%.
The new review comes amid weather conditions that, according to Proarándanos, have affected the phenological development of the plantations in recent weeks.
A peak export 30% lower
Proarándanos estimates that the export peak would have been recorded in week 40, with 14,6 tons, 30,1% below the 20,9 tons reached in the same week of the 2025/26 campaign.

Proarándanos projects 24,7% less for the remainder of 2026
The adjustment continues into the following weeks. Between weeks 41 and 53, Proarándanos projects exports of 133,5 tons, compared to the 177,3 tons recorded during the same period in 2025/26. The difference represents a reduction of 24,7%.
For the final stretch of the season, between January and April 2027, the estimate projects 46,6 tons, 5,3% less than the 49,2 tons exported the previous year. Proarándanos warns that this is the period of greatest uncertainty, as seasonal rainfall could significantly impact projected volumes.
From 404 to 344 tons
The sixth estimate continues a series of downward revisions. The year-end projection stood at 404 tons in August, fell to 382 in September, dropped to 366 in early October, and now stands at 344 tons.
Compared to the August estimate, the final harvest forecast has been reduced by approximately 60 tons, or about 15%. These adjustments reflect the progress of the harvest and the incorporation of new information submitted by producers and exporters.
In the organic segment, the projected closing figure is 24,5 tons, 31,1% less than the 35,6 tons of the previous season. The peak is projected for week 47, with around 1,0 tons, compared to the 1,9 tons reached in week 40 of 2025/26.

Proarándanos will continue to update its estimates more frequently during this part of the campaign and announced a new review for the first week of November, incorporating the most recent information submitted by producers and exporters.
