First-class products in the field of peat and horticultural substrates

Floragard

For over 100 years ago, Floragard Vertriebs GmbH in Oldenburg, Germany, stands for a first-class product range in the field of peat and horticultural substrates. The best raw materials and high-quality additives form the basis for producing a substrate that meets the requirements of the respective crop and the wishes of our customers with absolute precision. Our “know-how” for the success of your cultivation – with substrates of the best quality Floragard.

To satisfy the requirements of the cultivation of berries and especially the blueberry cultivation, we offer ready-to-compost container substrates with a coarse structure for containers > 1 liter and substrates with an extra coarse fibrous structure for large containers > 3 liters. With a low pH of 4,0-4,6, good aeration, drainage and structural stability, blueberries are offered ideal growing conditions. In addition, you can also get lumps of pure peat Floragard for soil improvement and for cultivation in furrows.

Restoration is our promise

Returning the landscape to its origins: that is the lived responsibility of Floragard.

After the harvest, the peat storage areas are not left forgotten, but are re-wetted as part of the Lower Saxony moorland protection program. The objective of this re-humidification is the so-called renaturation of the areas, which recover their original vegetation and can once again become moors. The success of this responsible approach is also reflected in the fact that the old peat deposits renatured by Floragard have already been declared natural reserves. This commitment and the associated methods can be experienced, among other things, at the Goldenstedter Moor nature conservation information center near Vechta.
