Royal Blu Aroma wins the Flavor of the Year award in Spain and France
Royal Blu Aroma, the variety of blueberries developed by Royal from Seville, has received the Flavor of the Year 2023 award in Spain and France.
The quality seal is awarded to the brands or varieties that obtain the highest taste score in their category in blind tastings carried out by a sensory analysis laboratory.
Royal Blu Aroma, Royal's flagship blueberry variety, took 15 years to develop and combines aroma and flavor as distinctive elements to create a set of unique varieties.
Varieties currently account for 85 percent of the company's total distribution volume of 13.000 tonnes. The season runs from October to June.
Royal's vertically integrated structure covers the entire production process, from research and development of new varieties to production, packaging and export to more than 27 markets.
