Southern Specialties started shipping blueberries grown in Florida

Southern Specialties announced that it has begun shipping blueberries grown in Florida, USA, in Southern Selects clamshells of 6 ounces (170 gr.).

Through a statement the company reported that this year's crop will include Farthing, Flicker, Chickadee and Meadowlark varieties.

"This year's Florida blueberry harvest has a beautiful bloom and great flavor"Said Alex Henderson, Key Account Manager of the company.

"Blueberries are an excellent product for Florida companies to show them in their programs 'Cultivado Locamente' [Locally Grown]"He added.

The Southern Selects blueberries from Florida will be available until the end of April and then give way to the programs of Georgia and North and South Carolina.

It should be noted that Florida blueberries, as well as Southern Selects berries and premium Adelita raspberries are distributed to the market from the distribution center in Pompano Beach.
