A container that withstands drastic temperature fluctuations for blueberries
Alongside its standard blueberry packaging that provides impressive freshness extension for blueberries preserved in 0 to -2°C supply chain conditions, StePac's R&D team has developed new packaging Xtend for blueberries, designed to withstand the drastic temperature fluctuations that are common in some markets. “The increase in global demand for blueberries has required the development of solutions that can preserve freshness and quality in the most challenging supply chains. “We are very excited to introduce our revolutionary packaging solutions in response to the real needs of our customers,” explains Dr. Gary Ward, Head of Technical Development. «We want to meet our customers at Fruit Logistica to share the benefits of this and other Xtend products».
This will be its first Fruit Logistica since StePac was acquired by Johnson Matthey, global leader in sustainable technologies, in May of 2015. "We consider it the perfect setting to present the exciting opportunities offered by this acquisition, especially the forecasts for future advancements in packaging products by combining functionalities developed by the Johnson Matthey technology center", says Rani Kadosh, head of sales and marketing of StePac.
