There are more than a thousand tons of Chilean blueberries exported, 142% more than the previous season
Although during a few weeks there was a bad weather front from the central zone to the south, this would not have substantive impacts on the fruit.
An 142% higher has been the exports of blueberries to date during the 2016-2017 season, compared to the previous season.
This, according to the weekly report prepared by the Committee of Cranberries and iQonsulting, Crop Report, which also reported that, although a few weeks ago there was a bad weather front from the central zone to the south, it would not have substantive impacts on Fruit.
Regarding the exits, in the 43 week, 305 tons were exported, of which 52 tons were sent by sea to the US, the rest was sent by air.
This dynamic could be maintained, as an effect of the rains reported in the harvest areas at the beginning of last week (44).
On the other hand, a drop in exports due to the long weekend of 01 and 02 in November that interrupted harvesting is expected, which would be reflected in the outputs of the 44 week.
As for the accumulated, exports to the week 43 add 1.226 tons, this is a 142% more than in 2015 / 16.
