Former Nando’s Chief Strategy Officer, joins United Exports, to Spearhead International Growth of OZblu Blueberries

Perth, 29 September 2025 – United Exports, the exclusive global marketer of OZblu blueberries, has announced that Doug Place will take up the position of global Chief Growth Officer in early 2026. This high profile appointment signals OZblu’s rapid international expansion and will further reinforce its position at the forefront of the premium fresh blueberry market.

Doug Place brings with him nearly two decades of senior leadership in the food and beverage, retail and consumer goods sectors. Most recently, Doug served as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at the iconic global brand Nando’s, where he lead the brand in over 13 markets. His leadership and innovative, impactful marketing strategies contributed to the brand’s reputation as one of the most admired consumer brands in multiple markets.

Throughout his career, Doug has shown a remarkable ability to create category-defining consumer brands and fuel sustainable growth across diverse international markets.
