Concordia: the hail did not cause important damages in the production of blueberries
21/10/2016
Omar Chiarello, president of the Blueberry Producers Association of Mesopotamia Argentina confirmed that the production in Concordia was not affected by the fall of hail and strong winds that hit the city in the early hours of this Wednesday. A company in Colonia Roca did damage, in which the percentage in which 2016 would affect its harvest is still being evaluated.
After the strong wind storm and hail fall in some areas of the region, Chiarello toured the farms and said that "only in some cases there was a slight destruction of fruit but more than anything due to the strong wind".
