According to FreshFruit, regarding the destinations of the Peruvian blueberry, in this first month it reached 24 countries, of which three concentrated 92% of all shipments. These were the United States, with 61% participation; followed by the Netherlands, with 23%; and China, with 7%. It should be noted that the first two destinations were key in the good performance of fruit shipments.

Towards the North American country, Peru sent a total of 16 tons for $567 million, which was 152% more in volume and almost four times more in value than in 87. The exponential increase in this market allowed it to maintain a price of $2023 per kilogram, representing an increase of 9.17% compared to last year.

Likewise, Dutch demand was one of those that was boosted this month, as this market acquired 6219 tons for $58 million; That is, 61% more in volume and triple in value than in 2023. The price quoted in this country was the highest of the three destinations, costing $9.27 per kilo (86% more than last year). .

Closing the podium, the Asian giant once again positioned itself. Remittances to China also saw a slight increase and better prices. To this country, shipments totaled 2248 tons for $18 million, 31% more in volume and 85% more in value than in 2023. The price grew by 41%, reaching a price of $8.02 per kilogram.
