Argentina: Chilean visit interested in fine fruits

From Chimbarongo, a town in Chile located at the height of San Rafael de Mendoza, some 30 producers of fine fruits were in the region to know the techniques and methodologies with which they work. The meeting was promoted through the PyME-Adeneu Center, in conjunction with the Association of Berries of Chimbarongo. It was established as a cooperative one year ago and is made up of 50 partners that produce raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.

The tour was undertaken by establishments Plottier and Senillosa, as visitors were interested in the infrastructure to add value and the various marketing strategies observed there.

One of the representatives of the Indap, Adriana Osorio, explained that they came "with a concern to know the market of the berries in Argentina, production systems, marketing, production methods and harvest.

Osorio noticed that in the "Neuquén establishments practice agro-tourism and generate added value with the production of preserves and sweets".
