"Chile, origin of quality": The international campaign to promote Chilean fruit in the world

Chile works permanently to maintain the high standards of food quality that are demanded in the markets, and in the idea of maintaining itself as a supplier of healthy foods.

ProChile, in its permanent search to promote the consumption of Chilean products, is committed to strengthening the image of the sector by showing closeness to the wholesalers and main buyers attending the international events of Mercamadrid and Mercabarna.

The "Chile, origin of quality" campaign will continue throughout the month of September at European events. The concept stems from the generic public-private campaign “Chile Keeps On Going for You”, launched by ProChile to convey the country's commitment to the international supply chain, in its role as a food exporter world class.

Two major international platforms

Mercabarna is the main fresh food wholesale market in Europe in terms of sales volume. It works as a food city 24 hours a day with the aim of guaranteeing the supply of fresh food to citizens. In its enclosure it concentrates more than 700 companies specialized in the distribution, production, import and export of fresh and frozen products. Mercamadrid, for its part, is the most important fresh food distribution, marketing, transformation and logistics platform in Spain and an international benchmark.

In the "Chile of quality origin" campaign, carried out in the two main wholesale markets in Spain, the commitment of the Chilean food industry to traceability, safety, quality, diversity, ecological production and sustainability of the agri-food sector stands out. .

Quality and safety

Chile works permanently to preserve the high standards of food quality that are demanded in the markets, and in the idea of maintaining itself as a supplier of healthy foods, as shown by its export figures, becoming the first exporter of fresh fruit of the southern hemisphere. It is currently the world's leading exporter of fresh cherries and plums, second exporter of grapes and blueberries, and third exporter of shelled nuts and raisins.

The campaign includes the implementation of “One Click Import”, a new contact channel to identify suppliers from Chile that seeks to provide an advisory service to buyers in international markets.
