The Cuna de Platero cooperative has begun the marketing phase of its first own variety of blueberries: "Cupla". For this year a production of 500.000 kilos.

This variety is the result of the work of the last years of the own area of ​​R + D + i of Cuna de Platero. As explained by its manager, Juan Carlos García, "it is a plant adapted to the agroclimatic characteristics of Huelva". The cooperative's research work has resulted in a range of gauge between L and XL, with a very good shelf life.

In addition, Cupla is a blueberry with a productive cycle that lasts longer. from December to the end of April, having most of its production from mid-January to mid-March. The fruit is present throughout the entire branch of the blueberry bush which facilitates its collection. In addition, it is a very juicy variety with a sweet taste.

R + D + i is present in all the links of the company, from the field to the warehouse. The Cuna de Platero R + D + i area was born in 2016 so that innovation would have a leading role in all departments and processes of the entity.
