Technology for harvesting blueberries

With the technology of air-jet collection, more than 95 percent of the ripe blueberries of a plant can be harvested without damaging them. The shaken berries are collected by pneumatic cushions, which avoid pressure points inside. Of the total of harvested blueberries, between the 80 and the 90 percent can be used for sale.

The proportion of white powder in the blueberry membrane is similar to that of manual harvesting. Pneumatic cushions are rubber-filled pieces of air in the plastic seals, through which the air flows continuously. This intercepts the crashes when the berries fall. According to the exhibitors, the air jet technology for fresh products is unique and patented internationally. This extraordinary technology is used in the KOKAN500S harvesting machine.
