Argentina: Blueberry producers work with the Regional Economies Committee of deputies and the UATRE

The president of the Argentine Committee of Blueberries (ABC), Carlos Stabile, met today with the national deputy Myrian Juárez (Partido Fe), president of the Commission of Regional Economies of the Chamber of Deputies, and with the head of the Argentine Union of Rural Workers and Stevedores (UATRE), Gerónimo Venegas. With the aim of improving the competitive conditions of the different sectors that make up the national agricultural production, the three entities agreed to hold a working table in conjunction with the Ministry of Labor.

"These instances of joint work are fundamental to understand the current problems that affect the different sectors of the Argentine countryside. It was a very productive instance since it allows us to coordinate a work together to improve the competitive conditions of our market"Stabile said.

On the other hand, the representative Juarez also recognized as "very positive" the dialogue, which provides the "possibility of articulating collective efforts to accompany the particularities of each sector". "Argentina needs to strengthen the exchange of ideas, with emphasis on production, work and development"Added the leader of the party that integrates Cambiemos.

In this regard, Gerónimo Venegas, who is also president of the National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (RENATRE), said that "The country is going through a difficult situation", so that "the field must recover its protagonism and, for this, it is essential to stand up for production and work together".

In addition to Stabile, Juarez and Venegas, were also present at the meeting Ramón Ayala, director of RENATRE, Carlos Figueroa, union secretary of UATRE, and members of the various regional chambers of the arandanero sector, composed of the Association of Producers of Mesopotamia ( APAMA), the Argentine Chamber of Blueberry Producers and other Berries (CAPAB), and the Association of Blueberry Producers of Tucumán (APRATUC).

The ABC brings together the regional chambers of the sector, and constitutes more than 80% of the exports of blueberries in our country.
