USA US: The cranberry market is saturated
“The national blueberry season has been peculiar to date,” says Leslie Simmons, of Dave's Specialty Imports. “Florida has been struggling with cold temperatures and production has stopped as a result. When supplies from Florida began to increase, blueberry crops from Georgia and North Carolina hit the market and supplies increased dramatically.".
The offer exceeds the demand

The market will stabilize soon
Simmons expects supply problems to be resolved in about two weeks. “The market should stabilize as Florida wraps up the harvest over the next week, and there will be a small supply gap in Georgia as the Highbush variety runs out and Rabbit Eye begins to enter the market.”. North Carolina is expected to continue with a strong supply. “We expect to see a more stable market on Memorial Day [May 30]”, says Simmons.
