The United States received the 53% of Peruvian exports of blueberries

Among the exporters, Camposol stands out, responsible for the 33% of shipments. 

An ostensible decrease has been registered in the export volume of Peruvian blueberries during the first quarter of the year. According to information from the AgrodataPerú portal, in the January-March period of the 2017 our country shipped a total of 2.544.424 kilos of the fruit for an FOB value of US $ 13.897.308. The downward contrast is evident with respect to the same 2016 period, when Peru exported 3.746.709 kilos of the product for a value of US $ 24.806.617.

According to the same source, the main destination market during the period indicated was the United States with 53% of total shipments (US $ 7.3 million). It is followed by the Netherlands with 23% (US $ 3.3 million), the United Kingdom with 21% (US $ 2.9 million), Spain (1%), China (1%), and other smaller amounts that together reach 1%.

Among the export companies, Camposol stands out, which achieved sales of US $ 4.6 million (33% of the total).

In the first quarter of the year, the average price of cranberry in the international market was US $ 5.46 per kilo.
