Villaviciosa will celebrate the Blueberry Festival between the 26 and the 28 of July
El IV Festival of Cranberry and Red Fruits of Asturias 2019 will take place in Villaviciosa on the 26, 27 and 28 days of July with the collaboration of the Town Hall and the Regional Service for Agrifood Research and Development (SERIDA).
The festival is the only event of this kind held in Spain and aims to highlight the importance of these fruits in the agri-food sector and in other sectors such as tourism.
Villaciosa is the Asturian council with the largest number of blueberry producers, since it owns more than a third of the total Asturian area cultivated with blueberry and red fruit plantations.
A wide range of activities and cultural highlights in this edition that has technical conferences that bring the latest developments to professionals in the sector or the traditional market to be held in the Ballina park.
The program also includes a concert by Greg Izor, workshops for children and live cooking and cocktail activities for the elderly, among other activities.
