In the La Libertad region, the National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa) sealed the containers with the first commercial load of 8.550 kilos of blueberries, which departed from the port of Callao towards the People's Republic of China.
The seal validates the contents as free of pests and seals the container to avoid possible manipulations or alterations during the trip that, on this occasion, will last approximately 30 days to reach a market composed of more than 1400 millions of consumers.
The phytosanitary action was attended by specialists from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ).

Tal SA and Camposol companies complied with phytosanitary requirements in crop fields and blueberry packing plants, as noted by Senasa and AQSIQ specialists between January 16 and 19. This in compliance with the corresponding protocol, signed between Peru and China last November in the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).
